Global Label Logistics: How DJB Ships Your Order Door-to-Door

Global Label Logistics: How DJB Ships Your Order Door-to-Door

Printing the label is only half the job. The other half is getting it to your warehouse, fulfillment center or production line on time and intact. Here is how we handle global logistics for custom label orders — from carrier selection to customs clearance and final-mile delivery.

1. Carrier Partnerships You Already Trust

We maintain direct accounts and long-term contracts with the three global express carriers most buyers already use: FedEx, UPS and DHL. That means you get commercial-grade service, live tracking and familiar customs documentation, without us acting as a middleman who adds handling time.

Each carrier has its own strength. DHL is often fastest into Europe and Asia-Pacific. FedEx and UPS have strong last-mile networks in North America and well-developed customs-brokerage tools. When you place an order, we look at the destination, weight, declared value and your preferred delivery window, then recommend the carrier that gives the best balance of speed, cost and reliability for that specific shipment.

Carrier flexibility: You are not locked into one provider. If you have a corporate account with a specific courier, we can ship on your account or ours — whichever saves you money and paperwork.

2. Trade Terms That Match Your Risk Preference

Most of our exports run under one of three terms: FOB, DAP or DDP. The right choice depends on whether you want to control the freight yourself or hand the whole chain to us.

  • FOB (Free On Board). We deliver the goods to the port of departure in China and load them onto the vessel. From that point, you arrange ocean freight, insurance and customs clearance at destination. This works well if you have a regular freight forwarder and want full control.
  • DAP (Delivered At Place). We manage the entire journey to your named destination and handle export and transit clearance. You take responsibility only for import duty and taxes at destination. A good middle ground for buyers who want simplicity without paying for door-to-door customs service.
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). We handle everything — freight, export, transit and import clearance, duties and taxes — and deliver to your door. You pay one all-in figure upfront and avoid surprise customs bills. This is the option we recommend for buyers who want predictable landed cost.

3. Speed Channels: Express, Tax-Inclusive and Sea

We route every order through the channel that fits its urgency and size, rather than forcing all shipments into one box.

  • Express courier. Typically 3–7 days to most countries. Best for samples, urgent reorders or lightweight cartons. Actual transit depends on destination customs and local clearance policies.
  • Tax-inclusive / small-cargo channel. Typically 10–15 days. These consolidated air or truck services include destination duty and VAT handling, so you do not need to deal with customs release. Ideal for medium-sized restocks where express is too expensive but sea is too slow.
  • Sea freight. Typically 24–32 days. The economical choice for bulk rolls, heavy cartons or annual stock builds. Timelines apply to most major ports; remote destinations may add a few days.

4. Tax-Inclusive Delivery and Hard-to-Reach Destinations

For the United States and selected other countries, we offer tax-inclusive delivery. That means the price we quote includes duties and taxes, so the shipment clears customs without you needing to arrange a broker or pay unexpected charges on arrival.

For small countries and remote or inland regions, we work with a closely vetted freight forwarder network that specializes in routes the big express carriers either do not serve well or charge heavily for. If your destination is off the main trunk route, tell us the city and postal code and we will quote a dedicated door-to-door solution.

We also support freight collect / to-pay shipments for customers who prefer to use their own courier account or forwarder arrangement.

5. Domestic China Shipping: On Us

Inside mainland China, we cover the freight. We have a long-term partnership with SF Express for fast, trackable domestic delivery, and we can also use your preferred courier if you have a corporate account. This applies to samples, bulk deliveries to your China warehouse, or shipments to your consolidation forwarder.

6. How We Choose the Right Logistics Setup

When we prepare your shipping plan, we ask four questions:

  1. Where is it going? Country, city and postal code determine carrier strength and customs complexity.
  2. How much does it weigh and cube? Lightweight documents and heavy label rolls have very different cost curves.
  3. When do you need it? Express, tax-inclusive or sea.
  4. Who handles customs? DDP if you want all-in, DAP/FOB if you have your own broker.

Based on the answers, we present one or two options with landed cost and transit time, then you pick. No hidden routing decisions.

Common Questions

Do you ship to my country?

We ship globally. If you are in a remote or restricted area, we will quote a forwarder-led route instead of standard express.

Can I use my own courier account?

Yes. Provide your FedEx, UPS or DHL account number and we can ship freight collect.

What happens if customs holds the shipment?

For DDP shipments we handle clearance directly. For DAP/FOB shipments we provide all commercial invoices, packing lists and HS codes; your broker or forwarder completes import clearance.

Is shipping included in the label price?

International freight is quoted separately so you can compare channels. Domestic China delivery is free.

Can you split one order to multiple destinations?

Yes. We can pack and ship to several addresses or warehouses from the same production run.
